Arthropode est un tabouret d'usage d'atelier devenu domestique. Né d'un système modulaire de portant qui permettaient de structurer l'espace en jouant d'une forme d'instabilité, ce tabouret tripode allonge l'un de ses pieds pour devenir reposoir. Mr. & Mr. se joue des règles d'un classique du design et créer un objet en métal galvanisé brut, cintré et soudé sous une assise en polyuréthane injectée rappelant le skaï. Il devient un élément graphique cumulable et instable au premier regard tout en conservant ses qualités d'assise et tisse des possibilités d'usage à inventer.
Spider stool and space valet. Arthropode is a workshop stool that has crossed over into the domestic realm. Derived from a modular system of racks that allow you to structure space by utilizing a form of instability, this three-legged stool comprises an extendable leg which can then serve as a rest. Mr. & Mr. playfully subvert the rules of a design classic to create a galvanized raw metal object, bent and welded underneath a seat filled with injected polyurethane, that is reminiscent of imitation leather. Whilst retaining its function as a seat, Arthropode constitutes a graphic object that is, at a first glance, both combinable and instable, yet enables its user to invent a new set of uses.
